Female Food Heroes Season 5

The Female Food Heroes Reality TV Show is a powerful and innovative approach to raise awareness of the challenges Tanzanian women food producers face. More importantly, it also demonstrates the strength and capacity of women food producers to make a significant contribution to agricultural growth and economic transformation.

Oxfam developed the Female Food Heroes program as part of its GROW campaign to address the issues of climate change, small-scale farming and women’s land rights. The ultimate goal of the Female Food Heroes program is to award, acknowledge and celebrate small-scale women food producers.

As the Tanzania Female Food Heroes have demonstrated, empowering women food producers as entrepreneurs is transformational for the women, their children and entire communities.
